Precise Products is founded in Racine, Wisconsin, by Helmut Schumann with the introduction of the Super 30 hand grinder to provide a more accurate solution to machine small, intricate scale models.

1948

The Type Super 40 hand grinder spindle is released, achieving 45,000 rotations per minute (rpm).

1956

1956

The company relocates across town to a newly constructed facility.

1962

1962

The company expands to include a second facility in Germany.

1963

1963

Precise makes the transition from handheld products to machine mounted spindles when the Type Super 65 spindle is introduced.

1968

1968

The company is sold to Rockwell International and is merged with Rockwell’s Tooling Division.

1975

1975

PRECISE is sold to private ownership and organized as a stand-alone company.

1985

Hybrid ceramic ball bearings are applied, improving speedablity and lifetime of high speed spindles.

The new tool interface deisgned for high speed, HSK version E, is offered in standard product line.

Synchronous motor technology is incorporated, increasing the power density of compact spindles.

A 10,000 square foot addition is completed in Racine to accomodate growth.

PRECISE merges with FISCHER AG Precision Spindles to create FISCHER PRECISE USA as part of the FISCHER PRECISE Group. The existing Fischer USA operation in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is moved to Racine.

The assembly and manufacturing space is renovated to increase capacity and support growth.

2012

FISCHER USA adds the capability and capacity to become an authorized sales and service partner of Tramec milling heads.

The Company operates under the new name FISCHER USA, Inc. and its apperance is modernized at the same time.
