Robert Schumann develops the first directly driven handhold sander Diros with 30,000 rotations per minute (rpm).

1941

The Precise Products Corporation is being founded in Racine, Wisconsin, USA.

1951

Presentation of the first PRECISE Spindle, the Super 50 Powerquill which may be mounted in a machine tool.

1953

Founding of Precise Präzisionsspindel GmbH in Düsseldorf, Germany.

1956

A new plant is built in Racine, USA.

1960

Introduction onto the market of the Super Cycle 80, the first PRECISE Spindle with an integrated high-frequency motor.  

1962

Precise moves from Düsseldorf to a new plant in Leichlingen.

1987

Presentation of the first drilling spindle with air bearings, the ASC33.

1997

D.C. Easley becomes the new owner of Precise.

2000

The SD5084, the first spindle with a synchronous motor is brought onto the market.

Takeover of Precise Präzisionsspindel GmbH by FISCHER AG, Herzogenbuchsee, Switzerland.

All activities are transferred to Precise Technologies.
