"FISCHER USA has seen significant growth in the spindle repair business over the past year. This growth made it clear that our manufacturing capacity needed to be increased to shorten lead times for repairs. After evaluating many options, a combination of new and used grinding machines was selected to meet this need. The company invested in a new Studer S33 external cylindrical grinding machine, which offers versatility and is designed for grinding a wide range of components. In addition, two used Voumard CNC 150 (L7 and L13) internal grinders were purchased due to their excellent condition and high accuracy. The production area was reconfigured to make full use of the available space. In addition, a floor trench and a cable tray were built to house the electrical cables and air ducts for each machine.
